Welcome brave souls, to the first arena matchup! In the red corner, we have a soldier to the core. 32 years old, standing at 5'11 tall, weighing in at 210lbs and representing her majesty Queen Celestia. Loyal, stout and brave, the Silent Servant Corvus Corthrow! In the blue corner, a fearsome knight. 27 years old, standing at 6'5 tall, weighing in at 250lbs and representing the Night Mother, Queen Luna. Ruthless, bloodthirsty and completely without mercy, The Wolf of the West, Ser Rowan Cartwright! It appears that Ser Rowan has the advantage in height, weight and age. It's a battle of David vs Goliath. (Alright, so this is how this is going to work. You'll each make a post, and then I will make a post. Have fun you two.)

The bright light's of the arena irritated the armored Ser Rowan. He was used to fighting in the dark recesses of the New Lunar Empire. It didn't frighten him, not a lot could, though it was still an annoyance. Spotting the Solar scum at the other end of the arena was more than enough to help the crazed knight block out the lights and the chants from the crowd. Rowan the Cutter was focused on murdering this man. Drawing his massive sword from it's sheath, the knight charges the soldier with the full intent of cleaving him in two. The knight was ready for any projectiles that may be thrown his way; he would attempt to block them with his blade, or at the very least allow his heavy armor to lessen the impact.
"RRRRRAAAAAAGGGHHHH!~" He roars.

Quietly watching the beast of a man across the area, Corvus calmly drew his sword and unshouldered his shield. The roar of the crowd escaped his notice as his sole focus was the threat which now charged at him. His goal was not to murder, but to survive. However, if surviving meant he had to kill, it would be done.
He began to slowly, carefully, side step to the right, and backwards. He held his shield up to nose level with his left arm, and gripped the sword on the right. His intention was to dive away to the opposite of whichever side the enemy was bracing to strike. If he timed it right, he would roll clear away while the huge knight ran right into the wall behind him. This was not meant to harass or trick him; it was to waste his energy. Corvus knew endurance was a major factor in a fight while in full armor.
If he timed it wrong, he'd have to rely on his shield to divert the trailing end of the massive blade and absorb the impact while he swiped his own sword in counter attack at whatever was within reach.
