General Description: Josaline is a fair young woman, which she often uses to her own advantage. Though she is quite attractive by most standards, Josaline is more often than not seen with a sinister look about her. Her hair is long and red, often worn in a ponytail to keep it out of her face. In battle, Josaline wears an ornate set of plate armor, often paired with a red cloak. She is rarely ever seen wearing a helmet however. When not in combat, Josaline would wear a simple maroon uniform, with gold trim. When on horseback, Josaline rides atop a black stallion.
Skills: Josaline is a woman of many talents. She is well read and educated, having been offered the best schooling in the Crystal Empire. On top of this, Josaline the Red is a talented combatant, preferring a single edged blade. Josaline is also able to call upon several spells, mostly dealing with illusions and defensive spells. She is often known for utilizing these illusions during interogations.
Faults: Though Josaline doesn't lack for skill, she isn't the physically strongest opponent on the battlefield. On top of this, she tends to be fairly arrogant and cruel.
History: Josaline Estienne was the eldest child of three siblings. Little is known of the woman's early life, though it is clear that she had been raised on the lap of luxury. Her family was never short on Cryts, and they used their wealth to provide their daughter with the best education and training available. Despite growing up with a life of privilege, Josaline had always been ambitious, desiring more than what her family could provide her.
At the age of thirteen, Josaline would discover that she had a talent for magic. Her father disapproved of her learning magic, as she had been the only member of her family to possess such gifts. Regardless of her father's distaste, Josaline studied magic in secrecy, and became rather good at it. As she grew older, it would become more and more clear that Josaline was a rather cruel child. She would often torment her siblings and other children, and even went so far as to stab her younger brother in the leg with a steak knife. This obviously earned Joseline quite a hefty punishment from her parents, though she didn't really care too much. Her family loved Josaline, though for whatever reason, Josaline felt little love for them in return. When she came of age, Josaline used her magic to burn down a tavern near Stoneville, framing her parents in the process.
Her parents were sent off to the mines as punishment, and Joseline left her siblings behind, taking her families fortune as she did so. Changing her last name to 'Estienne', Joseline bought herself some property in the capitol, and struck out on her own path. As time went on, Josaline found herself growing bored of her new life, and sought excitement. To sate her knew wonderlust, Josaline joined the Crystal Empire's guard force. Utilizing her skills, the young woman would prove to be very good at her job. Josaline would eventually gain the name 'Josaline the Red' as she grew in infamy, both in reference of her red hair and cloak, and of her utter cruelty when interrogating enemies of the state.
Her years of service in the Guard got Josaline noticed by Sombra's Royal legion, and when asked to join, she did so without hesitation.
