[Enter Cen]
Being thrown into the large, wooden made prison, Cen walked himself over and sat at the corner. His hands and legs were still shackled, but he still made do.
A sigh escaped Cen's lips as he stared at the ground with his cool, grey eyes. His mind was like a thunderstorm.

[Enter Corvus]
After speaking to the Warden, Corvus was granted permission to interview Cen. A guard escorted Corvus to the cell where Cen was being held. He was told the prisoner had already been fed for the day.
Green eyes looked at Cen, and Corvus stood near the bars, just watching for a moment with his hands folded behind his back before saying, "Private Dancanza."

Cen was in deep thought, sitting on the ground in the corner of the poorly made cell. When he heard his name spoken, he quickly looked up at Corvus with his grey eyes. Without his armor, and not having washed last night, Cen looks more human than he has ever been to Corvus.
Cen took a moment to awkwardly stand up, his movement hindered by the shackles. He gives an equally awkward salute and stands tall at attention.
"Sir." He responds coldly and respectively.

"No need for prisoners to salute, Dancanza. I ahve been busy since we last spoke, and I have discovered a few interesting things. I am here to offer you a deal before the Courts Martial."
Watching him carefully, Corvus stood very still.

Cen brought his hands down but stood tall, unblinking and everfrowning. He looked like a soldier.
"Prisoner or no, I am a soldier of the Solar Empire." He responds, looking Corvus over with one quick movement of the eye.
"What offer do you have?" He asks simply.

"Well, we caught Lieutenant Drake. The ginger medical officer was leaving the Palace, right behind you, when he was detained. He is telling us a lot of interesting things about what happened in the Garden."
Without a variation in pitch or tone, Corvus looked at Cen unblinking and asked, "Killing a Royal Guard on duty is a Capital offense. It will be the gallows for you."

Cen's eyes widened slightly, but then they narrowed harshly on Corvus.
"The Lieutenant Drake is a traitor -- Lunar or Crystal, I'm not sure, sir. He ripped the sword from my scabbard and murdered that guard in the garden. I -- was scared for my life, sir, he had a foreign technique, I didn't stand a chance... I wasn't trained for any of this." He explains, seeming genuine as he looks to the ground and blinks rapidly near the end, tears starting to well up.

"Oh, I see."
He takes out his parchment pad and a quill pen, "So what you are saying is you abandoned me during an emergency in the alley after being ordered to flank it, then went all the way to the Palace. Then, while int he Garden Lieutenant Drake took your sword from you, killed a guard with it, and gave then it back to you. He did this in a way that made you too afraid to resist. Then, you came back to me, told me you stabbed a criminal in the back, and then refused to cooperate further."
He jots down notes, "Very interesting. I can change your charges to Cowardliness in the Face of the Enemy, Failure to Report a Criminal Incident, Dereliction of Duty, and Insubordination Resulting in Death. Oh, and the Obstruction charge remains, for the lies. But, that is only if I take your statement here as true. Yet, even if I did, these charges are enough to give you the short drop with a rope neck-swing."
He seems to think a moment, his writing hand paused, "So, who should I believe? The medical officer, or the new private? The Court is very eager to hang someone for that embarrassing breech and the loss of a Royal Guard. As it stands, I can hang you both in mutual conspiracy on just the facts alone."

Cen let out a sigh and sat back down on the ground. He looked up at Corvus, defeated, but not sad.
"The Lieutenant was never in the garden. You'd think someone who can catch onto such inconsistencies would be a better liar." He explains before giving a small, dry chuckle.
"If you ask me, it'd be more embarrassing for a spy to make it all the way up to the ranking of Lieutenant without anyone catching on.

"You want to change your story again, Dancanza?"
He said, giving a very frustrated expression and marking a line across the notes he had just taken.
"Here is the deal I came in to make you: you tell me what you know about Drake, who you really are, and explain in detail everything you did, who planned it, and why. Then, I will see about sparing your life as a cooperative double-agent. Drake is also being given this deal. If the stories do not match up, the deal is off. So, of you continue to lie, and his story does not match, you both hang."
He eyed the man a bit, "Decide."

Cen didn't like his options. He could tell a lie and get hung, try to please innocence and get hung, or tell the truth and probably get broken across a wheel for being a traitor. Commonly a legionary is to commit suicide opposed to divulging information, however that was oddly difficult when your legs and arms are shackled.
The prisoner looked up at Corvus and gave him a dirty glare.
"Fine. I'll tell the truth. I'm Frumentarii, one of His Magnificences best. Happy?" He asks with bitter spite.

"I am not happy at all. I do find myself unable to refrain from commending you on an excellent job, however; well done Frumentarii. I am a senior officer, and you had me fooled until nearly the end. You accomplished your objectives perfectly. I would say, if it were not Lieutenant Drake, you would have even gotten clean away with it."
He reaches into the cell and drops the pad and pen, "Please, write an account of what I requested, then sign it. Do not forget to include how you managed to burn Sr Judas's record. This saves me the trouble of taking dictation from you, and saves you the trouble of having to tell me it all. I am sure you do not want to spend any more time with me than needed."
He stepped back from the bars, "I do want to help you though. I am a man of duty, and I do not hold a grudge for you doing your own duty. You have come clean when confronted, and there is honor in that."

Cen reached over and grabbed the pen & pad. He looked it over, then back up at Corvus. He had a look of -- pity in his eyes, and a deep sadness. He gives a dry smile.
"You know I could help you as well... The Solar Empire won't withstand the attacks from The Crystal Empire. We have been planning and undermining your destruction since the day King Sombra took the crown. Release me, and I can get you safe passage to The Crystal Empire... you could be a proud Tribunus Legionis, or even a Legate."

"I could never serve a nation that holds slaves. I prefer to perish by a Crystal sword than hold a Crystal whip. The offer is nonetheless appreciated."
He turned and motioned to the guard that he was done, then glanced back, "I will leave you to your writing, sir."
Corvus stepped out of the cell block.
