So, you want to join the battle for the future of Equestria? Well, we'd be happy to have you! While the first rule of Three Nations is to have a good time, there are other rules that must be followed by all members when creating a character. I would encourage all new members to read up on these rules to ensure a good time is had by all. So without further delay...
1. All new characters must be approved by myself, or a moderator before posting in the main forum. This is to ensure quality OCs with detailed backstories, clear motives and allegiances. If you should make a post without first having your character approved, your posts will be deleted. I would very much like to avoid deleting all of your well thought out posts, so I would advise following the character building procedures.
2. All character sheets must adhere to the character sheet template. If a member should stray too far from the given character template, they will be asked to reformat their character sheet. The template can be found here.
3. All characters must be human, unless given admin permission. While this forum is based off of 'My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic', the Three Nations storyline will be focusing on primarily humanized versions of the characters. This means no pony or anthro OCs will be accepted. To clarify, this means no horns, and no wings. Keep in mind, this does not mean that your character cant fly or use magic.
4. All characters must conform to the Three Nations backstory.I can't stress enough that all members must read the Three Nations backstory threads. This is to ensure people's personal headcanon's don't clash, and we can all commit to a single, unified storyline.
5. Characters must refrain from being overpowered, or from being a mary/gary sue. So, you've come up with a great idea for a character? That's awesome! While it's all well and good to imagine what feats your character has done, or talents he/she possesses, they must also come with their fair share of faults. Nobody's perfect, and your character should reflect that.
6. Character death is something that you must be prepared for.The great war of the sun and the moon is a dangerous time to be alive. Great battles ravage the land, and no matter your allegiance, enemies are everywhere. That being said, death is a common sight in war. I understand that nobody wants to lose a character that they put love and hard work into creating, though the Three Nations is a hardcore roleplay. I will see to it that nobody's character is killed unfairly or without cause, however you must keep in mind that it's a possibility. You are more than welcome to create another character should your first character meet his/her untimely end. Also, while necromancy is a very vague possibility in the Three Nation's universe, it's so ungodly rare that the chances are next to none that your character will be revived after death. Don't even ask.
